ABOUT THE USRA
The USRA is the governing body for whitewater raft racing in the United States. The USRA works with the International Rafting Federation and other national governing bodies throughout the world to make sure the United States is represented in international competition. The USRA also strives to promote the sport of raft racing in the United States from a local level to a national level. Teams selected through the National Championship Series represent the United States in international competition. The USRA continually strives to grow the sport within the USA and is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
WHAT'S NEW
The United States rafting national championships is coming up between May 17-19 as part of the upper Clackamas white water festival in Oregon. It’s look like we have about 11 teams that have identified themselves so far. Winners at this event will be qualified to compete in the 2025 world championships. Please be sure to visit both the United States rafting Association website, and the upper Clackamas whitewater festival website to register, as Registration is a two-part process. We are pleased to announce the US will be sending a fifth team to the world rafting Championships in Bosnia. Introducing the U 19 men’s team – the Troublemaker’s from Northern California. they are fortunate to have an excellent training ground on the south fork of the American River, and their hard work is showing. this will be Only the second time the US has sent a U19 team to the worlds, and the first U19 boys team from the US ever.
